How You Can Prevent Diabetes

One of the most common diseases nowadays is diabetes which affects millions of people around the world. Having diabetes would not really kill a person who has it but its effects can bit by bit put an end to a person’s overall well being in due time. The two most general kinds of diabetes are Type 1 and Type 2.
Type 1 diabetes is also referred to as “juvenile diabetes” because it affects more numbers of children than any other kind of diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, there is a lack of insulin which will in due course cause problems.
Type 2 diabetes on the other hand is the abnormal reaction of the body to insulin which is known as insulin resistance. In this condition, different cells in the body such as muscle, liver, and fat cells do not normally accept insulin to turn sugar into energy resulting to high blood sugar levels. Type 2 is the most common type of diabetes all over the world and it is also related to obesity.
Symptoms of having diabetes are increased thirst, upsurged fluid intake, weight loss, mental fatigue and frequent urination. These symptoms can happen rapidly in Type 1 diabetes or bit by bit and subtly in Type 2 diabetes. When it comes to weight loss, however, occurs mainly to those with type 1 diabetes and also becomes a rare occurrence among individuals with type 2.
Some of the ways to remedy diabetes are insulin injections, proper diet and exercise, and blood sugar levels should be constantly checked by means of a glucose meter. People who are at high risk of developing diabetes are overweight to obese, intaking sugary foods and living inactive lifestyles.
Prevention is the best cure. Diabetes can be best avoided by not letting it take place at all. Intake of fruits and vegetables and limiting sugar will help a lot and exercising frequently would lower the risk of having diabetes even more.
